Love 146 Walkathon

Human trafficking is modern day slavery. It is estimated that $32 billion is generated from it each year. Human exploitation and abuse causes psychological and physical damage to the victims. Imagine a an 8 year old child sold into sex slavery and assigned a number as their identity and put into forced manipulation. It's happening right now, even on USA soil.

You can do something to help. On Saturday, October 2, 2010, we will be participating in the Second Annual Hope Revolution Walkathon for Love 146 to raise awareness of this problem and also funds to rescue these children and help them after the rescue. The mission of Love 146 is "to combat child sex slavery and exploitation with the unexpected and restore survivors with excellence." The walk will begin on 86th and 7th Avenue at Dyker Beach Golf Course at 9 A.M. and extends for 10 miles and circles back to the starting location. You don't have to walk the full 10 miles, even a block is okay. Last minute registration ends at 8 A.M. at the site. Registration fee is $30.00. There is a celebration after the walkathon from 1 to 3PM.
